Service Life At Holy Rosary
Service learning at Holy Rosary take place throughout the curriculum and include our Preschool through Grade 8 students and families. Service learning opportunities include but are not limited to the following:
Parish Giving Tree Project
Adopting a Family for Christmas
T.E.P.E. (Totally Essential Products Extravaganza) – collection of necessary personal or household items for gift baskets for the needy
Hop-N-Ing to raise money for local Rehabilitation Center and Easter Seals
St. Jude’s Trike-A-Thon
Entertaining in local nursing homes
Raising money for local shelters, food pantries, Ronald McDonald’s House, more
Participating in collections and response to victims and communities impacted by natural disasters
Making cards for shut-ins
Stripping palms for Palm Sunday
Collecting gently used toys and clothing for local organizations as well as our parish’s Clothes Closet
Support for veterans including cards and letters and raising funds to send veterans on our local Honor Flight
Prayers and cards for children in local hospitals
Throughout the year communicate and encourage service to our school, parish, local, and broader community.
