Service Life At Holy Rosary
Service learning at Holy Rosary take place throughout the curriculum and include our Preschool through Grade 8 students and families. Service learning opportunities include but are not limited to the following:
- Parish Giving Tree Project
- Adopting a Family for Christmas
- T.E.P.E. (Totally Essential Products Extravaganza) – collection of necessary personal or household items for gift baskets for the needy
- Hop-N-Ing to raise money for local Rehabilitation Center and Easter Seals
- St. Jude’s Trike-A-Thon
- Entertaining in local nursing homes
- Raising money for local shelters, food pantries, Ronald McDonald’s House, more
- Participating in collections and response to victims and communities impacted by natural disasters
- Making cards for shut-ins
- Stripping palms for Palm Sunday
- Collecting gently used toys and clothing for local organizations as well as our parish’s Clothes Closet
- Support for veterans including cards and letters and raising funds to send veterans on our local Honor Flight
- Prayers and cards for children in local hospitals
Throughout the year communicate and encourage service to our school, parish, local, and broader community.
