HRS Spirit Wear
Check out the newly added choices of spirit wear for HRS spirit dress days! Now scheduled for the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month beginning - Wed. Aug. 20th. Look for the order form in your back to school folder. There will be 3 times throughout the school year to order. So watch for those due dates to get your order in. The first order (due Aug 13) will not be ready for distribution by Aug. 20 so be sure to refer to the Handbook for guidelines on what can be worn. New this year: As stated in the handbook, ONLY Gr. 7 & 8 students may wear Memorial Spirit Wear! So...

Help the environment and the school! PTO recycles aluminum cans. The drop off bin is in the back parking lot. Leave your bags and Leann Sander and her crew will handle the rest. Watch for a BIG change in our recycling program... coming soon!
SCRIP Card Fundraising
NO magazines, NO wrapping paper, NO candy, NO pizzas. HRS PTO raises funds for the school and our children thru our scrip (gift card) program. Please consider participating and remember you keep half of all the funds you raise for your tuition!

Thornton's FundWorks Gas Card
Thornton's FundWorks cards are rechargeable, meaning you only need to purchase the card one time. Once you purchase the $25 card (face value of card) take it inside to your favorite Thornton's station and add any amount of money you want to the card as often as you want with cash, check, or credit card. Thornton's then sends us a monthly printout of your total purchases made with the FundWorks card (2% on gas & 6% for inside purchases) and we then apply your half of the percentage towards your tuition.

Join us for the first meeting of the year. Tuesday, August 19th at 2pm in the Parish Hall. Be sure to sign in... your child's homeroom could win an ice cream treat and your child's teacher may win a $10 scrip card of his/her choice!!! Come to share your support and ideas!

To Suzette Throop, Julie Abushalback, Andrea Myers and the Grade 4 families for organizing another spectacular back to school lunch on August 5th for the teachers and staff who have been in meetings & organizing for this upcoming year.
To Julie Vandeveer and Torrie Strassweg for making sure the school supply kits are here and in the classrooms for our first day back to school.
